Nursing Sleep Scholar Speaks to Drexel DrNP Classes

On November 15, 2007, Dr. Terri Weaver, a noted sleep scientist, spoke to the inaugural Dean's Doctoral Nursing Colloquia to Drexel’s 23 DrNP first and second year doctoral students.  Dr. Weaver, Associate Professor of Nursing and Chair of the Biobehavioral and Health Sciences Division at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, spoke on “Can't sleep at night, can't function during the day:  Sleep disorders and daily functioning - A program of research.”

Dr. Weaver was the first speaker in a series of clinical scholars who will visit Drexel’s clinical research Doctor of Nursing Practice program each quarter and highlight the need for translational clinical research. Dr. H. Michael Dreher, Director
of Doctoral Nursing Programs stated, “Dr. Weaver is one of the world’s leading authorities on adherence to C-PAP and we were honored to have her serve as our first DrNP Dean’s Colloquia Scholar.”
