BACS 368 Addictions Counseling with Special Populations

Surveys effective approaches to assessing and treating both populations, with emphasis upon cultural and developmental variables. Topics include: inclusion of the family in treatment and recovery, integrating healthcare systems resources, elderly drug use and misuse, and early- vs. late-onset substance abuse treatment issues.
