Bayada Award for Technological Innovation in Nursing Education and Practice

Drexel University College of Nursing & Health Professions has a long history of technological innovation. The Bayada Award for Technological Innovation in Nursing Education and Practice was created in 2004 to acknowledge nurses who have made a significant contribution to nursing education or practice via the development and/or adoption of a new technology. Drexel University values nurses who are innovative and appreciates their lasting and vital contributions in improving student learning and/or patient outcomes. Drexel University has honored these nurse pioneers for the last five years and will continue this tradition of honoring innovative nurses in 2009and beyond.

THE AWARDS:
Two $5,000 Cash Prizes

  • One $5,000 prize was awarded to a nursing educator or a practicing nurse whose innovation leads to improved nursing education and student outcomes.
  • One $5,000 prize was given to a nurse educator or practicing nurse whose innovation leads to improved patient care and patient care outcomes.

The awards will be made at the Drexel University Nursing Education Institute in Myrtle Beach, SC Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes on June 22, 2010. The winners must be present to accept the awards; travel expenses will be paid.
