Continuing Nursing Education
Any healthcare professional will tell you that learning doesn’t stop with graduation, at least not if you want to be effective at what you do. Many keep up with new developments in the field by attending meetings and conferences.
Our College sponsors several that rate highly with attendees, including the Drexel University Nursing Education Institute (DUNEI). This yearly event draws faculty from across the country to explore ideas for preparing tomorrow’s nurses.
At a busy poster exhibition, Dean Gloria Donnelly greets passing attendees with a smile. “I see some people here year after year,” she grins. “It’s good to know our conferences give people real value.”
A full slate of conferences takes continuing education to a nationwide audience.
These conferences have several goals. Education is the most important. We call attention to hot topics people need to know about.” The events also provide an opportunity to spotlight Drexel healthcare faculty at the forefront of change, such as educational technology.
CNHP professors are eligible to attend the conferences at no charge, benefitting them and their students—a third goal.
