John Brown 150th Anniversary

Drexel University will feature acclaimed author David Reynolds in an event commemorating the 150th anniversary of John Brown’s raid, an important moment in the African American struggle for liberation. David Reynolds is a Distinguished Professor of English and American Studies at Baruch College and the graduate Center of the City University of New York. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Bancroft Prize for his book, "Walt Whitman’s America." This lecture will be one of the featured events being hosted in Philadelphia surrounding the anniversary.
