From its block party roots, Hip Hop has gone from meager turn tables to a multibillion dollar industry. American Hip Hop’s influence has permeated every aspect of our modern world. From fashion & music to politics & power, Hip Hop has been validated by a planet intrigued by innovation and controversy. Join Africana Studies as we look at the globalization of hip hop and the influence of technology with speaker Jeffrey Carroll of the Get Free Movement. This event will take place Thursday, November 12th in MacAlister 4014 from 6pm to 7pm. Please note that this event is part of a regular class, Politics of Hip Hop.

Since space is limited, we ask that seating priority is given to the Politics of Hip Hop class. Any questions can be emailed to Jacqueline Rios at jsr62@drexel.edu.

To be added to the Africana Studies email list, please contact Jacqueline Rios at jsr62@drexel.edu. Please specify in the email subject line "Africana Studies email list."
