David A. Ruth

As the Dean of Students, Dave coordinates all "co-curricular" aspects of your academic career. These aspects include the out-of-classroom experiences, such as the social, educational, and recreational activities, counseling services, academic support services, and campus housing. In addition, the Dean also serves as the liaison for the student to the Student Academic Appeals Process. 

Dave received his Master of Arts Degree in Mathematics and Education at Lehigh University and his Ph.D. ;from Drexel University. His research focuses on student services for distance learners. 

Dave has been employed at Drexel University since 1992, where he served in positions within the Office of Residential Living and as Assistant Dean of Students, with an interest in Judicial Affairs and New Student Orientation. 

In addition to an open-door policy, Dave and his team have an "open-office" policy. "We are here to help you succeed. Your success at the University is our number one priority. Let us know what we can do for you."
