The DCS (Drexel Community Scholars) plays an integral role at the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) by coordinating activities between the CCE and our community partners across Philadelphia. The DCS has both direct service and administrative responsibilities. Students who want to enhance their classroom learning and put their skills to work making an impact in the public life of the community fill these positions best. The DCS position is open to all Drexel University students and is filled competitively based on experience, interest and the need of the CCE and our community partners. Eligible students can use Federal Work Study funds as a DCS and may also qualify to receive educational awards from $1,000-$1,250 through the Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania (SISPA) program funded by the Corporation for National Service.
