Join the Center for Civic Engagement and its partners as it celebrates the LIVE IT GIVE IT Volunteer Week. This is a chance for Drexel to recognize the great efforts of the students, faculty, and staff, and their impact on the community through civic engagement.

Event Schedule for the Week:

• October 17, 2009: Join the Drexel Community Scholar, Ari Melman as he leads a group to Tustin Recreation Center in Overbrook section of Philadelphia. This project is the annual CITY YEAR Serve-A-Thon. To participate email Ari at adm76@drexel.edu
• October 18, 2009: Showing their commitment to civic engagement, the entire first year class of the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business is raising money and walking in the AIDS WALK PHILLY
• October 19, 2009: Learn more about the non-profits that the Center for Civic Engagement partners with to offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to students, faculty and staff. The Center for Civic Engagement and its community partners are hosting the first GIVE IT Volunteer Fair from 1pm to 4pm on Korman Quad. Rain location is Behrakis Grand Hall.
• October 22, 2009: The Office of Commuter, Transfer, and Graduate Students is leading a group to PhilAbundance Food Bank. To sign up, email Kara Sharkey at kjs86@drexel.edu.
• October 24, 2009: Community Alumni Network Drexel University and the Office of Government Community Relations is collaborating with the Center for Civic Engagement to perform a day of service at the Morton McMichael School in West Philadelphia.
