Department of Performing Arts
The Department of Performing Arts offers a Bachelor
of Science in Music Industry.
The degree in music industry offers the highly
motivated and musically focused student a program of study that combines
coursework in the business and technological aspects of the music industry
and continued study in the art of music. The curriculum provides a strong
base in the liberal arts. This is in keeping with the philosophy of the
Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design—that of a broad education
in partnership with professional studies.
A combination B.S.
(Music Industry- Business Law concentration)/MBA is also available.
In this dual degree program, students complete both the bachelor's degree
and the Master of Business Administration degree in five years.
The Department of Performing Arts also offers a Bachelor
of Science in Entertainment and Arts Management. This
degree prepares students to work in the motion picture, television, new
media and cultural industries. This unique curriculum gives students an
opportunity to capitalize on Drexel's cooperative education, gaining experience
while completing a course of study that combines learning an artistic
discipline with studying the business aspects of the entertainment and
arts industries.
Ensembles include Drexel University
Choirs; Concert, Pep, and Symphonic Bands; Instrumental Jazz Ensembles;
Drexel University Gospel Choir; Fusion Band and Percussion Ensemble; the
Percussion Ensemble; Guitar Ensemble; String Ensemble; Dance Ensemble
and the Drexel University Theatre Program.
