Early Assurance Programs

Health Sciences has established early assurance programs with the Drexel College of Medicine and with the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Drexel's College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Drexel University College of Medicine

  • For the Drexel College of Medicine early assurance program, students will be notified of their eligibility to apply. Students who are accepted to the program must meet the specified criteria of the Drexel College of Medicine and must successfully complete the bachelor's degree to receive acceptance to the College of Medicine.
  • To apply as an incoming freshman, students must be accepted into the honors program, have a combined SAT score of 1360, and a rank in the top ten percent of their high school class. The application to the Health Sciences Honor Program must be completed by December 1st.
  • To apply as a sophomore at Drexel University, students must be in the honors program and have an overall GPA of 3.5, with no grades below C.
  • Transfer students are not eligible to apply to this program.

Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

  • For the D.P.T. early assurance program, a student must meet the specified criteria of the graduate physical therapy program and successfully complete the bachelor's degree program to receive a guaranteed acceptance to the D.P.T. program.
  • Students in the honors program need an overall GPA of 3.25; GRE scores of at least 530 verbal, 600 quantitative, and 600 analytical; and volunteer experience for at least one summer.
  • Transfer students are not eligible for this program.
