Facilities
The Culinary Arts program is located in 14,000 square feet of the Academic
Building that includes two state-of-the-art commercial kitchens, two fine
dining rooms that seat a total of 125 people, computer classroom and technical
center, commissary, The Academic Bistro (student run restaurant &
lounge); conference room and Les Dames d’Escoffier Library of Food and
Wine, which presently holds over 1200 cookbooks. A culinary demonstration
theater, classrooms and faculty offices are located elsewhere on campus.
Philadelphia Location
A unique feature of the Culinary Arts program at Drexel is
that it is located in Philadelphia with close proximity to New
York, Baltimore,Washington D.C., as well as the resort centerson the
Atlantic Seacoast and the Pocono Mountains. These
regions include hundreds of hotels, restaurants, and resorts that
are used for field trips, sales blitzes, and campus visits by hospitality
and culinary resource people.
