Minor in Psychiatric Rehabilitation
About the minor
The minor in psychiatric rehabilitation is designed to provide students with an essential focus on
clinical competencies in implementing evidence-based rehabilitation services to people with
serious mental illness. This minor is expected to appeal to students in a wide range of Drexel majors, including Psychology, Criminal Justice, Health Services Administration, Sociology, Pathways to Health Professions, Education, General Humanities and Social Science, Nutrition and Foodss, as well as other fields of study.
Academic requirements
The minor requires completion of 24 credits, comprised of 15 credits in five required courses and 9 credits in three courses selected from a list of ten electives. Students may elect to begin coursework in this minor at any point in their undergraduate education. It is strongly suggested that students pursuing this minor consult with faculty in the Behavioral Health Counseling program for advice in selecting electives that will best meet their goals in this minor.
