Emergency and Public Safety Services

The Master of Science in Emergency and Public Safety Services (formerly Master’s in Emergency Medical Services) program comprises two elements: core coursework and a declaration of a specialty area for concentrated coursework and a thesis. The three identified concentrations are Education, Emergency Management, and Ambulatory/ED Management. Each concentration requires a thesis, bringing the total number of credits to the range of 41 to 45, depending on the track and the length of thesis work.

Courses are available through the traditional classroom interaction at Drexel's College of Nursing and Health Professions or through distance education. While all courses are available on-line, the department requires students present their thesis defense in person.
