Paul F. Harron Television Management Graduate Program Faculty

Albert S. Tedesco, M.A. (University of Pennsylvania) Program Director, Paul F. Harron Television Management Graduate Program, Instructor. Al Tedesco conducts research into the impact of digital media on broadcast television, and is the recipient of a Faculty Development Committee grant to study broadcasters’ response to the challenge of new media. He has worked for more than twenty-five years in television and related communications fields and has extensive experience in the management of publicly and privately held communications companies. He is the president of Medianex, Incorporated, a marketing communications and management-consulting firm, and directs The Documentary Laboratory there.

Perry Casciato, (Syracuse University), Adjunct Instructor. Perry Casciato was named Programming Director for the CBS duopoly stations in Philadelphia -- CBS 3 (KYW-TV) and The CW Philly 57 (WPSG-TV) in June, 2003. Since joining CBS, Casciato has helped enhance the stations’ range of on-air projects including telecasts of the Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade; Philadelphia’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks display; The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Martin Luther King Jr. Concert; the city’s celebration of the Ben Franklin Tercentenary; fundraising efforts for the Alex Scott Foundation; and the introduction of the station’s Kidcasters campaign.

Dave Culver (Graham Jr. College), Instructor, General Manager of the Paul F. Harron TV Studios. More than 30 years of television production and management experience as vice president and general manager of Center City Video, and with local television stations in Philadelphia, Boston, Rochester, and San Francisco.

Larry L. Epstein, AS (Graham Jr. College; Post-grad, Rochester Institute of Technology) Program Director, Entertainment & Arts Management; Director of Special Projects, Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. Larry Epstein has over 25 years experience in the television industry, working with CBS at both the national and local levels, as a chief financial officer with companies serving the television industry and as a consultant to investors in earl stage media companies.

Paul Gluck, B.A. (Temple University) Executive Director of Rudman Institue. Before joining the Westphal College, Paul Gluck was Vice President and Station Manager of WHYY, the leading public broadcasting station in the Greater Philadelphia region. Gluck, who was named to this post in September, 2000 is responsible for daily program operations and all program content and development for WHYY’s broadcast services, including radio, television and web.Gluck joined the WHYY staff in 1999 as Executive Director of News and Public Affairs, and continues to oversee news and public affairs programming. He is leading an effort to develop more local program content for WHYY that will range from public affairs to cultural events. He also directs all of WHYY’s content and broadcast resources, including producers and engineers in support of this operation. Gluck, a multiple Emmy-award winner, has also produced documentaries and served as a consultant for local media outlets.

Terrence T. Maher, MBA (Boston University), Adjunct Associate Professor. Terry Maher is a Research Analyst with Harmelin Media where he analyzes audience measurement statistics in order to develop marketing and media plans for the agency’s clients. He also edits the monthly Harmelin Media Report.

The program is also supported by the faculty of the undergraduate program in Film & Video, all of whom have significant experience directing, producing, or writing for television and film.

MBA Faculty
The fully AACSB International accredited MBA degree from the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business is provided by an excellent and widely recognized faculty. The Financial Times ranked the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University among the top Executive MBA programs, thirtieth in the nation and fifty-sixth worldwide.

The MBA faculty have backgrounds in business experience and scholarly teaching and research. They also enjoy strong ties with the corporate community, serving as consultants for a range of corporations, government agencies and other organizations.
