Requirements
for Admission
In addition to meeting requirements for graduate admission, which include
at least a 3.0 GPA for the last two years of undergraduate study and
for any graduate study, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering
from an accredited institution or an equivalent. Students whose background
is in science or mathematics may be accepted to the program, but they
will be required to take undergraduate engineering courses. Although
the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is not required for admission,
it may be required of students interested in a teaching or research assistantship.
Applicants whose native language is not English and who do not have previous
degrees from a U.S. institution are required to submit scores of at least
550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
