Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy
11.0 - 13.0 quarter credits
This certificate program is designed to enable licensed therapists to
update and expand their knowledge and clinical skills in certain areas
without the commitment of a degree program. Students who enroll in this
program are able to tailor the coursework to satisfy their self-perceived
needs for career advancement.
The curriculum is designed around three core areas: Foundations of Practice,
Clinical Science, and Clinical Practice. Within these core areas, students
enhance their skills in differential diagnosis, learn to find and apply
best evidence to practice, understand the anatomy and/or basic science
principles in their area of specialty, and learn how to apply this knowledge
to their particular area of content expertise.
