The Goodwin College of Professional Studies
School of Education

The School of Education offers Pennsylvania Department of Education-approved programs to certify students who want to be teachers in elementary education (with emphasis on mathematics, science, english and special education) and secondary education (in biology, chemistry, earth and space science, environmental education, general science, mathematics, and physics). Students working toward completing a BS degree in Education typically work simultaneously to complete requirements in order to be recommended upon graduation for an initial Pennsylvania teaching certificate in a selected primary area.
