The Electronic Music Laboratories and Recording Studios in MacAlister Hall and University Crossings offer opportunities to create, modify, analyze, and record sound and music using analog and digital media.

The large digital computer lab is home to 31 Macintosh G4 computers running MBox systems with Pro Tools 6.9 and Logic Pro 7.2. This lab allows the professor to take control of all student computers and participate in two-way audio and visual communication. The lab also contains video projection of all computers and digital applications. The small computer lab contains 16 Macintosh G4s with Pro Tools 6.9, Digi 002s and Logic Pro 7.2.

Studio A contains: Pro Tools HD3 system with 32-channels of 192 KHz I/O, an 80-input Otaris Stratis, and an 18R digitally controlled analog mixing board. This studio is designed in a classroom setting with an 18 student capacity. Video projection is used to enhance the learning experience by allowing all students to visually follow computer and mixing board operations via a 44-inch plasma display.

Studio B is used primarily for hands-on, small group education and contains: Pro Tools MIX3 system running 24-channels of I/O, with a 24-channel Soundcraft Ghost mixing board and various outboard gear.

Studio C is used primarily for independent projects and is open twenty-four hours a day. Studio C contains Pro Tools HD2 accel with 16 channels of IO, a Soundcraft Ghost mixing console and various outboard microphone preamps and processors. Studio C also features an isolated drum booth.

The Mandell Theater provides a 420-seat proscenium theater with scene shop, dressing rooms, and costume shop. The theater is used for theater, dance, musical events presented by Drexel University and special presentations by outside organizations.

The Living Arts Lounge, adjacent to the Mandell Theater, can be used for moderate sized receptions, lectures, seminars, or as a display area.
