Master
of Science Program in Physics
General
Requirements
Students who wish to complete only the master's degree are
welcomed, and will find that the learning environment will allow
them to broaden their professional understanding by exploring current
topics and trends of physics in an interdisciplinary setting.
The
requirement for the master's degree in physics is 45 graduate credits,
with at least 30 credits taken in dynamics, mathematical physics,
electricity and magnetism, quantum mechanics, and statistical mechanics.
There are no thesis, language, or special examination requirements
for the master's degree. Degrees are also available in collaboration
with other departments and programs.
