Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science has rapidly
expanding graduate programs in artificial intelligence,
algorithms, computer algebra, graphics, HCI, networks,
security, scientific computing, and software engineering.
The Department emphasizes both interdisciplinary and
applied research and is supported by major federal
research grants from the National Science Foundation,
Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the
National Institute of Standards and Technology, as well as
by private sources.
