Economics
Economics is the study of allocating scarce resources
among competing needs. Drexel’s Economics concentration is designed for
two groups of students: those who wish to prepare for advanced degrees
in the field, and those who want a sound business education with a focus
on economics. The program places particular emphasis on the application
of theory toward the solution of particular problems in such areas as
international trade, money and finance, consumer activities, economic
development, and other areas.
For permission to substitute other courses for those listed, students
should see the department head. For more information about this concentration,
contact the Department
of Economics and International Business.
