Drexel Athletics are a big part of campus culture. Each year, more than 9,000 students participate in club or intramural sports. The list of athletic opportunities is extensive, including everything from ultimate frisbee and track to rugby and water polo. The number of options available and the level of participation are limited only by the interest of each student.

  • Division I Sports –From basketball to crew to field hockey, Drexel Dragons are fierce competitors. Over 450 Drexel student-athletes compete in 18 Division I NCAA sports in the Colonial Athletic Association.
  • Club and Intramural Sports –Each day, more than 2,000 students, faculty, and staff participate in recreational programs at the University. Club and intramural sports are highly popular and fun opportunities to interact with other members of the Drexel community. As a participant in intramural activities, you'll face off with competitors of all levels. If you're up to the challenge, members of the University's Club Teams compete against other local colleges and universities.
  • Recreational Facilities –Whether you prefer outdoor or indoor sports, Drexel has a wide array of places for you to stay active. If you're looking for some fun outside, Drexel has two beach volleyball courts, two tennis courts, and a soccer field. The state-of-the-art Drexel Recreation Center is an 18,000-square-foot facility that includes an elevated jogging track, multi-purpose gymnasium, climbing wall, exercise studios, and more.
  • John A. Daskalakis Athletic Center –Known as the DAC, this is the home of Drexel Athletics. The DAC includes a swimming pool, five squash courts, a golf center and gymnasium.
