Describe your study/research interests and why.

My Master’s concentrations are in Chemical and Biological Transport and Kinetics and also Geo-Environmental techniques with interests in stormwater and sediment control, wetland and water-resource stabilization, and site remediation and reuse.  I spent most of my teenage years reading how-to and technical magazines and manuals. And coupled with leisurely activities such as camping, fishing and hunting, I have great respect for new as well as revitalizing existing infrastructure.

Describe your co-op experience.  Include where you worked, a brief description of your duties, and what you learned.

My work experience encompasses a wide range of attributes to the engineering field. I have nearly one and a half years of field work experience with a geotechnical engineering firm working closely with construction crews. Between my time at Montgomery County Community College and Drexel University, I received excellent project management training from a company who is highly regarded in the field. My two co-ops at Drexel University bring my career training to near completion with positions in research and field sampling at the Philadelphia Water Department to experience in a design atmosphere at Hatch Mott MacDonald.

What you would like to do after graduation?

I have aspirations to continue work in a consulting and design field, continue my education, and ultimately receive my Professional Engineering License. 

What you like about Drexel’s Engineering Program?

Drexel is one of the few schools in the area with an Environmental Engineering concentration and the experience from the co-op program is priceless. One thing employers can be sure of is that Drexel graduates are ready to work.
