Getting Around

PhillyCarShare
Drexel has partnered with PhillyCarShare, a non-profit organization, to enable students (who meet certain elibility requirements) to explore the area much more freely. Founded by five Philadelphians, the company provides rental cars by the hour. There are "pods" on campus that contain one or more dedicated vehicles - check out their site for the types of cars they offer and for rates and locations.

SEPTA
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) provides public transportation services including buses, trains and trolleys. Visit their website for maps, rates and route planning. You can get virtually anywhere in Philadelphia using SEPTA. It's relatively cheap too, a few bucks will get you across town and back on the Market-Frankford line.

Biking in Philadelphia
With more than 200 miles of bike lanes in the city and 100 miles of off-road trails, bicycling is one of the most popular ways to experience Philadelphia. Locals treasure the region's extensive trail systems - jump on a bike and explore them for yourself!

Taxi
Flagging down a taxi isn't too much trouble on Market or Chestnut Street. Hop in with 3 friends and share the tab. If you'd like to reserve a taxi or request a pickup at a specific location, click the link above. Keep in mind that during peak periods wait times can be very lengthy.
