Bachelor's Full Time Program
Located within Drexel University's College of Nursing and Health Professions, the Behavioral Health Counseling Program (BHC) provides a four-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. The advanced, clinically applied curriculum includes core courses in individual and group counseling, addictions interventions, cognitive-behavioral approaches, family and child focused services, psychopharmacology and psychiatric rehabilitation practices. These courses prepare students for careers within today's rapidly evolving mental health and addictions treatment settings.

Graduating students find immediate employment or continue in graduate education including master's and doctoral programs in a variety of behavioral healthcare disciplines.

The BHC program responds to the growing need for competent direct service providers in behavioral healthcare. Our mission is to develop a new generation of professionals who are inspired to make substantial contributions to the lives of individuals and families seeking behavioral healthcare. Our faculty, informed by their research and clinical practice, introduce students to best practices that they can use to establish a rewarding career in behavioral health.
Our four-year Bachelor of Science program, which includes a six-month co-op also described in the curriculum section, best serves the full-time undergraduate student. Transfer students who can only attend part time may find our special Saturday Scholars® program to be a good fit.
