DragonCard University ID
The DragonCard is the official ID card of Drexel University and can be used
to gain access to buildings on campus.
The DragonCard must be carried at all times while on University-owned property.
It is the property of Drexel University and is governed by the rules and regulations
set forth by the University. The DragonCard is not transferable and is not
permitted to be used by anyone other than the issued cardholder. Please refer
to the Student Handbook for additional information regarding DragonCard policies.
It is important to take care of the DragonCard in order for it to work properly.
Do not punch holes or deface the card in anyway. Doing so will destroy the
proximity chip located inside the card which allows for access to most campus
buildings. A $20 fee will be assessed to replace a damaged DragonCard. The
replacement ID will automatically deactivate the previously issued ID card.
It is also important to keep the DragonCard in a secure location that is away
from other magnetic cards that may deactivate the ID card. The DragonCard Office
does provide a cardholder with the initial card and encourages everyone to
utilize it.
Get a DragonCard
There is no charge for an initial DragonCard for students, faculty, and staff.
There is, however, a $20 replacement fee to reissue a card that is lost or
damaged.
You can have your photo taken at the BCC Public Safety office on the Mt. Laurel
Campus. You must show your Drexel acceptance letter and/or a current course schedule, and a valid photo driver’s
license, passport, or state-issued photo ID.
Because DragonCards are printed at the University City Campus, it can
take five to seven days to produce your new ID. You will be notified by email
when it is available for pickup from the Drexel at BCC Office of Admissions
on the Mt. Laurel Campus, TEC Building, Room 104.

Stolen Cards
In the event that your DragonCard is stolen and you have a police report that
clearly states this fact, you will not be assessed the $20 replacement fee.
Report the crime to the local police department and request a copy of the
police report. Then notify the University City Campus DragonCard Office
and the Drexel University Police that your card was stolen, and provide them
with copies of the police report. You will be notified by email when your new

on the Mt. Laurel Campus, TEC Building, Room 104.
