Application Instructions
Drexel at BCC takes into consideration a number of criteria when determining admission, including your college performance in relation to your desired major and essay.
Drexel at BCC assumes that you've completed coursework similar to Drexel's curriculum. To be considered for admission as a transfer student, you should have completed a minimum of 24 college credits from a regionally accredited institution. If you have fewer than 24 college credits, you will need to apply to Burlington County College first.
Prerequisites
Before beginning your application to Drexel at BCC, please review our Admission Requirements.
Required Materials
Complete a Drexel at BCC application. You may apply online or download and print the application [PDF]. When selecting your major, please refer to the list of Drexel at BCC programs.
You may only submit one application. To expedite the application process, please write your full name (no nicknames, please) on all items submitted. Your Social Security number is also required to be considered for financial aid. If you need to change your major or co-op selection after submitting your application, please email bccenroll@drexel.edu or call 1-866-644-3795.
We encourage you to apply online to expedite the admission process.
Official transcripts are required from all colleges and universities that you've attended, and they must be sent directly from your college to Drexel. If you have completed international coursework, you should also submit syllabus/course descriptions for evaluation of transfer credits. The transcript should include all courses in progress.
International Students: An official academic record (with notarized English translation) is required from every secondary school attended. A transcript is official only when it is sent directly from an institution to Drexel at BCC, or when it is officially signed, stamped in color, and sealed.
If you have completed 24 or more college credits, you are not required to submit standardized test scores.
Applicants whose native language is not English may be requested to submit official TOEFL or IETLS scores. The TOEFL or IELTS requirement can be waived if the applicant has completed English Composition I and English Composition II with grades of C or better from a regionally accredited institution in the United States. Official TOEFL or IELTS scores should be submitted to Admissions. Drexel's TOEFL code is 2194.
You do not need to wait to be accepted to apply for financial aid. To be considered for need-based financial aid, you'll need to file the FAFSA. You can complete the form online at www.fafsa.gov; be sure to list Drexel's code: 003256. The FAFSA can be started as early as January 1; however, for full financial aid consideration, you should file by February 15. Students who submit the FAFSA by this date will be eligible for the $1,000 Early FAFSA Award.
For students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents, proof of financial responsibility showing sufficient financial support for education in the United States is required to obtain a student visa. Drexel prefers that you submit the following materials with your complete application. All documents must be notarized and written in English:
- I-20 Application Form [PDF]
- A current official bank letter in either your name or your sponsor's name. The signature of the bank official must attest to the amount of funds available in the account.
- A non-Drexel scholarship award letter in your name. Enclose a signed letter or affidavit of support giving full details regarding the promise of support, and the specific amount of money in U.S. dollars.
International Transfer applicants who have a valid I-20 form must submit the International Student Transfer Form [PDF].

During the admission process, you'll have the opportunity to check your admission status online. Once your application materials have been processed, you'll receive an email providing you with a Student ID and PIN that will give you access to the Discover Drexel Portal.
If you are offered admission to Drexel, be sure to review our information for Accepted Students.
Admission Decision Appeals
An applicant who has been denied admission to the University may appeal. Reversals on a decision are rare, and if considered, are done based on changes in the applicant's academic criteria, or personal circumstances that could not be considered adequately through the standard admission review process.
An applicant appealing a decision should compose a letter to the Academic Appeal Chairperson stating the reason for the appeal and provide updated documentation. The appeal should be clear and concise, and provide new information. Your letter should not repeat information already presented in your initial application. The appeal should be emailed to the attention of the Academic Appeal Committee Chairperson at enroll@drexel.edu.
Notification of the decision of the committee is final and will be made known to the applicant by mail within two to three weeks.
