MBA
Program
George Tsetsekos, interim dean of the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business,
has announced the creation of an intensive one-year, full-time MBA program.
The cohorted program will feature a full-time, pre-term foundation summer

Master's Program in Pharmaceutical Management Begins in January
Drexel's Ortho-McNeil Executive M.S. in pharmaceutical management begins
in January 2002. Eighteen of the 22 courses in the cohorted program will
be conducted online. The curriculum combines three areas of study: management
and leadership, medical science and management, and health policy and
pharmaceutical regulation. The first year, the program will be open to
only scientific liaisons from the Ortho-McNeil company. Subsequently,
it will be available to all employees of the Johnson & Johnson family
of companies.
Writing Classes Graduation Requirement
Beginning with the fall 2002 entering class, including transfer students,
Drexel now has a graduation requirement that students pass three writing-intensive
classes beyond the freshman years after the Faculty Senate unanimously
passed the University Writing Program. Two of the writing-intensive courses
must be in a student's major, one in an elective. Writing-intensive courses
feature substantial writing projects developed over time and with the
assistance of writing-intensive tutors supplied by the University Writing
Program.
Online Programs Ranked by U.S. News and World Report
Drexel has been included in U.S. News and World Report's list of 131 out
of 2,000 surveyed traditional colleges and online universities offering
online graduate degree programs. The University was cited in the online
business degree and online library science degree program listings. The
programs included in the publication's lists are recognized by their regional
accrediting boards.
