Public Hearing on House Bill 1257

On Wednesday, May 30, and Thursday, May 31, Drexel University welcomed the Pennsylvania House Professional Licensure Committee to campus for the purpose of holding two public hearings on legislative proposals associated with Governor Ed Rendell's Prescription for PA proposal. The Wednesday hearing focused on the scope of practice for Pennsylvania's dental hygienists while the Thursday hearing focused on the scope of practice of midwives in the Commonwealth. Among the more than a dozen legislators who attended each of the hearings were Representatives Mike Sturla and Bill Adolph who serve as the Democratic and Republican chairs respectively of the House Professional Licensure Committee.
