Tobey Oxholm:
B.A. Amherst College, Summa Cum Laude; J.D., Harvard Law School, Cum Laude; M.P.P., John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University Tobey joined Drexel and MCPHU in May, after 22 years of practicing law in Philadelphia. Before joining the University, he was a partner in Fox Rothschild O'Brien & Frankel, and a named partner in Connolly Epstein Chicco Foxman Oxholm & Ewing. His career included five years in the City Solicitor's Office, where he rose to the level of Chief Deputy City Solicitor and was responsible for all zoning, real estate tax, condemnation, procurement, and commercial litigation; and was chief counsel to the Departments of Licenses & Inspections, Streets, and Public Property, and the Minority Business Enterprise Council. He was a frequent lecturer on civil procedure, litigation strategy and tactics, and ethics. He serves as Secretary and a member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association and one of seven Trustees of the statewide Interest on Lawyers Trust Account (IOLTA) Board, appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He has received many awards for exemplary public service, including the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, the Bar Medal of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Honorary Fellow of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and the Pro Bono Publico Award of the American Bar Association. He is a mentor for Philadelphia Futures, a volunteer for the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (a pro bono program for lawyers that he created in 1986), a Judge Pro Tem and arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, and a volunteer escort for Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
