About Drexel University’s Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at Drexel University comprises a highly diverse group of students, faculty and staff. In terms of student population, the department is the largest at a private university in the U.S. In teaching and research, faculty members and students in the department conduct theoretical, laboratory and field investigations on many aspects of the built environment. The CAEE faculty members are responsible for delivering an outstanding curriculum that equips graduates with the broad technical knowledge, design proficiency, professionalism and communications skills required to make substantial contributions to society, and enjoy rewarding careers. The department is involved in all of these areas and aims to educate future graduates to be research and practice leaders in the 21st century, or to use their engineering skills in related professions.
