Future Educators of Drexel

In the fall of the 2003-2004 academic year, the School of Education undergraduate students began the Future Educators of Drexel (FED).   FED is a student organization to develop professional education organization affiliations, provide community service opportunities, and plan social events to bring students together. 

FED members (the FEDs) have been successful in establishing professional affiliations with the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). 

FED representatives participated in the Drexel Alumni Holiday Turkey Drive to support the distribution of turkeys to area families.  In the works are social and community service opportunities such as an Ice Hockey Game, a Wednesday night at the Art Museum, and a book drive.
