In her role as associate program director, Dr. Ann Solan is responsible for the continued development, operation, and administration of the General Studies, Communications & Applied Technology, and Professional Studies programs at Drexel University’s Goodwin College of Professional Studies. Ann is also an adjunct assistant professor at Drexel, teaching Strategies for Lifelong Learning, Principles of Communication, and Business Communication.

Ann joined Goodwin College as an academic advisor in 1997 and has since served in a variety of capacities. In 2002, Ann was instrumental in launching the College's highly successful Saturday Scholars program. In 2007, Ann oversaw the creation and implementation of the Professional Studies major.

Ann serves as the membership chair for the Association for Continuing Higher Education and is also a member of the International Society for Self-Directed Learning. Prior to Drexel, Ann was director of prior learning assessment and an assistant professor at Nyack College.

Ann received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College in 1992, an M.B.A. from Dowling College in 1994, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in 2008. When she is not working or studying, Ann enjoys following her favorite baseball team.
