Effective Fall 2007 quarter, the Computing Technology (CT) program became the Computing and Security Technology (CST) program, with concentrations available in Computing Technology (CT) and Computing Security (CSEC).

The new Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in CST, offered through Goodwin’s Saturday Scholars® program, focuses on educating technologists for industry.  The CST program emphasizes practical, hands-on education and provides fundamental concepts that are supplemented by laboratory experience.

From webmasters and content-developers to network and system administrators, as well as multimedia developers and database specialists, computing technologists serve as key agents in the societal revolution that is changing us from an industrial society to a digital and information society.

Computer systems security professionals use their knowledge of computer hardware and software to identify threats and create and implement security solutions.  They are responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, installing, testing, and maintaining computer and information security systems.
