Sports Business Training Workshop - Fall 2008


Faculty Highlights

As active professionals, the M.S. in Sport Management faculty bring practical and current experience to the classroom. The faculty includes the following:

  • Amy Giddings, M.Ed., is currently completing her Ph.D. and has worked in many areas of sport management over the last decade.  Her sport management work experiences encompass the Olympic Games, community recreation, collegiate recreation and intercollegiate athletics,
    coaching, and non-profit sport organizations.
  • David P. O'Brien, J.D., brings to Drexel 16 years of experience as a Division I college athletics director. Prior to entering athletic administration, Mr. O’Brien served in a variety of roles in higher education, and also served on the legislative staff of the New Jersey Senate and practiced law.

The affiliate faculty includes the following:

  • Nick Linardopoulos, MS,  joined the full-time faculty ranks of Drexel University after completing multiple television broadcasting projects, including work with NBC10, CNN International, and World Affairs Television Productions. He has also worked in the coverage of the Summer Olympic Games in Athens with NBC Olympics.
