Donna Maguire holds a master's degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Restaurant Management and an undergraduate degree from Chestnut Hill College. She served as graduate fellow in human resources and upon graduation accepted a position with the Hershey Corporation.
Donna's experience in restaurant management took her from Hershey to a position as a food and beverage director in a small, privately owned hotel in York, Pa. Building upon this experience, she founded her own catering business in the Philadelphia area with a primarily corporate clientele.
Donna's career at Drexel began in 1992 when she became the facility manager for the Goodwin College's Academic Bistro Restaurant. She brought with her significant industry experience and an entrepreneurial intent. Shortly after arriving at Drexel, Donna was invited to join the faculty. She currently divides her time between research and teaching, including management lecture classes and culinary production classes. Ms. Maguire is also working on her first novel, set in Philadelphia against the backdrop of the restaurant renaissance. |
