| Profile: |
Since the early 1980s, Ellen Salvatore has managed the application of statistical techniques for continuous process improvement in both manufacturing and administrative settings, while also developing and implementing business process improvement strategies for three Fortune 500 companies. She has functioned in a number of consulting and managing roles during this period of time, and has personally trained more than 2,500 individuals in process improvement tools and techniques, including TQM, SPC, CPI, DOE, Taguchi Methods, IPD, project management, and team building/leadership. She has been recognized for her interactive teaching style and ability to work with all levels of individuals within the organization. Assignments that have received recognition include transitioning a traditional manufacturing organization to empowered work teams; implementing TQM, SPC, and CPI philosophy; developing a process improvement strategy for a small disadvantaged business; developing a business process improvement roadmap and formal SPC process flow/procedures (in support of ISO 9002 registration); and facilitating Product Assurance requirements for the U.S. Navy’s Best Manufacturing Survey. Other significant projects include involvement with the New Jersey Quality Achievement Award and Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award assessment and application process, support of the Integrated Product Development implementation team, and coordinating the development an ISO 9000-based quality plan for an R&D-type facility.
Ms. Salvatore serves as an adjunct faculty member at several area colleges/universities. She actively participates in the American Society for Quality, where she served as the chairperson of the South Jersey section’s Education Committee. |
