Jack Childs is in his 30th year at Drexel University as Head Wrestling Coach and Assistant Professor, and was former Director of Physical Education. He was also the past President of the National Wrestling Coaches Association, and a recent inductee into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for Lifetime Achievement. He is already a member of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame, Northeastern Region Pennsylvania Hall of Fame, the East Stroudsburg Athletic Hall of Fame, the Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Athens (Pa.) Area High School Hall of Fame.

Coach Childs has been named East Coast Wrestling Association Coach of the Year four times, and was named CAA's co-Coach of the Year in 2002. The record under Coach Childs at Drexel University is an impressive 368-215-8. The 368 Division I wins put him second all-time among active Division I coaches.
