Current Graduate
Students
B.S./M.S Students
All students interested in the B.S./M.S. program
must formally apply.
Civil
Engineering students should
contact Dr.
Jonathan Cheng, Environmental Engineering students
should contact Dr.
Charles Haas to go over the application process and develop
a plan of study. The plan of study will be prepared
in consultation with an undergraduate and graduate advisor and
approved by the department head and dean.
It is very important that
students in the BS/MS dual degree program work closely with a faculty
member to make sure that they are following their plan of study
and progressing appropriately. Drexel ensures that each student
has an undergraduate and graduate advisor for each program.
Approval of entry into the program is granted
by the undergraduate and graduate department heads and the academic
dean.
M.S. Students
The M.S. in Civil Engineering
degree requires a total of 45 credits, of which at least 30
credits are in the area of concentration --- a combination of core
courses and approved electives, and
6 credits are to fulfill math requirements. The choice of core and
elective courses is made in consultation with the student’s
graduate advisor.
The requirements for the M.S. in Environmental Engineering are given in the plan of study form found below.
All M.S. students should download the plan of study before seeing
their advisor.

Ph.D. Students
Doctoral students
normally take at least 45 credits, including research credits, beyond
the master’s degree requirements. Full-time residency for one
continuous academic year is required for the Ph.D. degree to ensure
students the opportunity for intellectual association with other
scholars.
