Victor Tringali, MS, CSCS, serves as the Executive Director of University Wellness, where he is responsible for the design and subsequent delivery of Drexel’s wellness strategy and all associated programming. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry as an entrepreneur, consultant and world-recognized athlete.
Since he assumed his role in 2010, Drexel University has been recognized by the American Heart Association, WELCOA and the Philadelphia Business Journal for the collective health of its employees and innovative programming.
As an entrepreneur, Tringali founded, developed and successfully managed three health and fitness businesses in the Baltimore/Washington area. As a consultant, he provided health and fitness programs for a variety of population sub-segments including women, physically challenged persons and elite athletes.
He was once a world-recognized bodybuilding champion, winning multiple titles and awards and has lectured and presented on various topics of exercise and nutrition. Also an accomplished author, Tringali has contributed to several health-related publications and was appointed international editor for the Italian Journal of Sport Rehabilitation and Posturology.
He holds a master’s degree in exercise science, a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, and is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as Strength and Conditioning Specialist and the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and Personal Trainer. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
