A Stellar Reputation

For eight consecutive years, Drexel has been ranked in the category of Best National Universities in "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report. The University placed 88th overall in the 2012 rankings, and the fourth straight time Drexel has been in the top 100.

Drexel also ranked sixth among national universities in the U.S. News list of "Up-and-Comers," those schools most often cited by university administrators nationwide as making "the most promising and innovative changes in the areas of academics, faculty, student life, campus, or facilities." Drexel has been in the top 10 each of the four years this list has been published.

Drexel and the University of Pennsylvania are the only Philadelphia universities ranked in the top 100 by U.S. News, joined by Carnegie Mellon, Lehigh, Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh across Pennsylvania.

Newsweek and The Daily Beast ranked Drexel among the top 25 universities that have produced the most number of successful business leaders that have gone on to become CEOs of Fortune 100 companies.

Drexel University Online earned exclusive “Honor Roll” distinction in U.S. News and World Report’s inaugural online higher education rankings. Drexel’s online nursing program ranked a prestigious second overall in the nation, while the university’s online education program was recognized in the top 5 for student engagement. The University was also ranked in the top 20 for online admissions selectivity.

Rankings for Drexel's colleges, schools and academic programs include:

  • Bennett S. LeBow College of Business ranked No. 1 in the nation for part-time MBA academic quality (Businessweek), No. 15 (graduate) and No. 19 (graduate) for entrepreneurship (Entrepreneur Magazine/Princeton Review) and No. 3 in the nation for Executive MBA career progression and No. 19 overall (Financial Times)
  • The School of Education, Goodwin College, ranked No. 26 among graduate programs at national private universities (U.S. News)
  • The iSchool at Drexel, College of Information Science and Technology's Master of Science in Library and Information Science ranked No. 9 nationally, with library and information science specialties in information systems, health librarianship and digital libraries ranking 3rd, 5th and 6th respectively (U.S. News)
