CALMM
This group aims to teach the practice of mindfulness meditation to those who are coping with stress, anxiety, and/or depressed mood. This group is closed for the Winter quarter, but keep checking back to see if additional sections may be added! For a postable flier for this group, please click here.
Grief and Loss
This group provides a healing environment for any student who has experienced a loss themselves or are close to someone who has. Whether the loss occurred fairly recently or if it happened many years ago, if you are in any way struggling with your feelings about the death of someone who mattered to you, this group might be for you. This group provides an opportunity to learn more about grief and loss. Screenings for this group end on Friday, January 27th, so contact us today!
Bridging the Gap of Living with an Eating Disorder
Transitioning from treatment to the “real world” can be difficult, especially during your young adult years. This group provides a supportive environment for women struggling with an eating disorder who have a history of being in inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment and are now living the difficult life of a college student. For this group you may be at any stage in your journey of recovery. If you feel you may be appropriate for this group please contact the counseling center to schedule a 30 minute screening. The group will begin February 13th and will run Mondays at 5pm.
Mindfulness Meditation Drop-In Group
As the quarter progresses, it is sometimes stressful to balance academic and personal responsibilities. If you are feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed this group teaches a skillful way of working through thoughts and emotions that can impede academic success or retention. This is a non-formal drop-in group so you can come as much or as little as you like. This group will be starting at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 14th in Creese Room 215. If you are interested, please speak with your counselor, or call us for an appointment.
If you don't see a group offered and have a specific interest, just ask! Contact Dr. Tania Czarnecki at tac73@drexel.edu.
