Aquatics Overview

The Drexel Recreation Center offers a variety of aquatic programs from swim lessons and aqua aerobics to lifeguard training and SCUBA certification. Members can register for aquatics programs at the Welcome Center.

Aqua Aerobics is offered in conjunction with the Health Fitness and Wellness group exercise program. This water aerobics class is a non-impact workout in deep water wearing a belt that creates "natural buoyancy" allowing participants to work muscles against water's resistance, resulting in increased strength, flexibility and muscular endurance. Participants should be comfortable in deep water wearing a belt. Exercise equipment is provided. This group exercise class is offered to members free of charge.

Open recreation lap swim is offered daily. Please note that hours are subject to change.
