Reduction in Course Loads
At Drexel University, full-time undergraduate students are required to enroll in 12 credit hours per term/semester. Graduate students also have requirements to enroll in a specific number of credit hours per term or semester to be considered full-time by the University. When a condition or impairment creates a substantial limitation to the academic environment, students may be eligible to take fewer hours, while maintaining their full-time status by the University. For additional information regarding the impact of a reduction in a student’s course load on financial aid matters, go to: Financial Aid & Scholarships for Students with Disabilities. For additional information about requesting auxiliary aids, academic adjustments, and services, go to: Requesting Accommodations.
It is important to note that while a student may be considered full-time by the University, the amount of actual hours enrolled will impact financial aid awards and verifications requested by insurance companies.
Student athletes need to work with both the Office of Disability Services (ODS) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Compliance Officer, in order to comply with NCAA requirements. To begin the process of requesting academic adjustments, go to: Requesting Accommodations.
