Requesting Alternative Formats

The Office of Disability Services (ODS) is committed to securing the format necessary for students, employees, and guests with disabilities to have access to reading materials at Drexel University. In order for ODS to secure the requested material, the Alternative Format Request Form needs to be completed for each material requested.

ODS is committed to abiding by federal copyright laws and requires proof of purchase of the material (if applicable). The proof of purchase must be provided to ODS before any alternative format is pursued. Copies of the receipt are kept on file at ODS and the original receipts are coded by ODS, resulting in the inability to return materials until the end of the term, unless a withdrawal verification is presenting to ODS. 

Prior to completing the form and making specific requests to ODS, an Alternative Format Agreement Form must be on file with ODS.

After completing the Alternative Format Agreement Form, individuals with disabilities can make specific requests using the Equipment / Material Request Form.
