Alternative Formats
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) is responsible for providing alternative formats for its students, employees, and campus guests with disabilities, when it is determined to be a reasonable accommodation. An alternative format is a format other than standard print, i.e. books on CD or audiotape, large print, or electronic format. Planning ahead for individual accommodation needs is a necessary component of ODS being able to deliver accommodations in a timely manner.
Registration for courses occurs four to six weeks prior to an academic term beginning. ODS strongly recommends registering as early as possible and submitting the necessary forms required for receiving alternative formats.
The policy and procedures presented communicate the requirements of receiving alternative formats as a reasonable accommodation at Drexel University.
