Support Resources
In an effort to support students, employees, and campus guests who have disabilities, the Office of Disability Services (ODS) provides the resources below as a courtesy for people with disabilities to self advocate and explore individual goals. Depending on the state in which a person is seeking services, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation may combine their services with Blind & Visual Services. In support of clarity and Drexel University on-line learners, state listings are provided.
The organizations/agencies may provide personal support for people with disabilities, such as:
- Financial assistance with tuition, books, transportation, and living expenses
- Prescription drug assistance
- Career counseling
- Resume building
- Interviewing skills
- Personal equipment and devices
- Personal computers and adaptive technologies
- Training on personal equipment and adaptive technologies
- Mobility orientation
- Job coaching
- Personal counseling
- Events and activities
- Development of self-advocacy skills
- Disability management skills
- An additional member of a person’s support network
As a courtesy for a smooth transition for students with disabilities enrolling at Drexel University, ODS provides a Question and Tip Reference Guide. The Guide is available at: www.drexel.edu/ODS/transitiontips (coming soon). The organizations/agencies providing support resources operate independently of Drexel University and ODS.
For additional information regarding the agencies, please utilize the links below to contact the organization/agency directly.
