Student Organization Orientation Training is a workshop designed to train organization leaders to plan events and understand their finances. At this workshop, you will be given information and contacts for Sodexho Catering, Event Services, Public Safety, Contracts, SAFAC, etc.
- Attendance at SOOT is required for all student organizations to become a Recognized club at Drexel
- Attendance at SOOT is required of all Presidents, Treasurers, and 3rd Member for every undergraduate or joint student organization to become Recognized
- Graduate student organizations only need the President and Treasurer to attend.
- Since student clubs need to become Re-Recognized each academic year, attendance at SOOT is required each year.
There are two types of SOOT Workshops:
- SOOT for First Time Attendees-this session is designed for students who have never attended SOOT. This is a 90 minute session.
- SOOT for Returnees-this session is designed for students who have previously attended SOOT. If you were a member of another organization and attended SOOT for that requirement, you are still considered a returnee
