Coalition for the Homeless
Cincinnati, Ohio

The Greater Coalition for the Homeless is a grouping of over 45 organizations who serve the homeless through emergency shelter, transitional living facilities, permanent housing, medical services, social services, soup kitchens, and mental health/addictions services. We will help in improving services for homeless individuals through morning service work like painting to improve low-income housing to cleaning apartments and visiting the Drop-Inn Center.  Meanwhile, educating ourselves with speakers in the evenings about homelessness and empowering homeless individuals to advocate for their civil rights and housing needs. Through our service & educational opportunities and resources, we will be provided the groundwork for understanding the complexities of homelessness so that we can return to our neighborhood & community to now work towards sustainable solutions.

Habitat for Humanity
Georgetown, SC

Join Sigma Phi Epsilon as we embark on our first Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge in Georgetown County, South Carolina.We will spend the week helping to build a house for families in need. We will learn about the challenges of inadequate housing facing the United States, while work directly the Georgetown Habitat for Humanity affiliate. We will also be engaging in team building activities, and find some spare time to go to the beach! The Georgetown affiliate has a very popular Collegiate Challenge program that is enthusiastically supported by their businesses and churches.

Give Kids The World is a non-profit organization that exists only to fulfill the wishes of all children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world to experience a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to the Central Florida attractions.

Habitat for Humanity
Memphis, TN

Asbury Ministry will be working with Habitat for Humanity in Memphis, TN to help build/rehab housing for first-time, low-income homeowners.
There will also be opportunities for sight-seeing and exploration of Memphis' unique culture and history (especially related to the Civil Rights movement).

Habitat for Humanity
Monroe, NC

This year’s Habitat for Humanity ASB trip will be to Monroe, NC. We will spend the week helping to build a Habitat home and will be working with volunteers and Habitat partner families. There will also be time to sightsee in the area.
Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem—decent housing for all. Today, Habitat for Humanity has built more than 200,000 houses, sheltering more than 1,000,000 people in more than 3,000 communities worldwide!

Supporting the Navajo Reservation
Shipprock, NM

Drexel Newman's Alternative Spring Break seeks to carry on the mission of spirituality, service, and social fellowship through mentoring children, building homes, and supporting the community of Shipprock, New Mexico. Participants will take on a number of community development projects on the Navajo Reservation, an area where St. Katharine Drexel devoted her vocation. All are welcome.

Hurricane Ike Relief
Galveston, TX

Drexel SWE will be traveling to Galveston Texas to aid in the relief of Hurricane Ike.  Together we will clean up costal wreckage on Galveston Bay and Galveston Island.  Rebuild homes and help non-profit organizations provide food and clothing to individuals and families.  We will work with Headstart, an organization to help young children in school and in afterschool activities.  Finally, find displaced animals homes due to the destruction of an animal shelter and restore wildlife habitat for migratory birds. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be memorable and rewarding adventure.
